“If sound is a physical phenomenon, then our whole body is an eardrum” (Jin Mustafa & Fathia Mohidin). An understanding of listening beyond hearing inspires Jin Mustafa’s sonic practice. Through her dj or live sets (as part of the duo Karabasan Drane) she opens up a way of listening with the whole body, letting the listener be moved by the sound waves to access different dimensions in time and space. With over a decade of experience exploring those subliminal states of human experience, we are happy to have the Stockholm-based artist on the bill to guide us into the festival’s second day.
